Screw conveyor are spiral bulk material transportation systems that convey raw ingredients to and from processing areas that are on different levels of a facility. These conveyors are slanted at different angles to economically elevate and convey materials up and down floors. They require ample space and an increased amount of power to lift the material, depending on the steepness of the angle.

Opearting principle:
Belt conveyor mainly composed by two endpoints drum and closed belt . Driven conveyor belt rotating drum called the drive roller ( rotate roller ) ; another change the direction of
movement of the conveyor belt rollers is called bend pulley only . The drive rollers by a motor through a speed reducer driven conveyor belt to rely on the friction drag between the drive
rollers and the conveyor belt . The drive rollers ships are mounted at the discharge end , to increase the traction, and is conducive to drag . Material from the feed end of the feeding ,
falls rotating conveyor belt , relying on the discharge end of conveyor belt friction driven transport bag unloading
Usage:
Brewing
Screw conveyors are used for grain and hops conveying and storage. Special leveling screws can improve storage capacity and efficiency.
Pulp & Paper
Screw presses, mixers and screw conveyors are used for handling paper pulp, wood waste, sawdust, bark chips, wood chips and lime. Mass-flow hoppers and feeder screws are often required.
Mining & Power Production
Screws are used for feeding, conveying, mixing and blending salt, coal, lime and other materials. Hollow flight screws and jacketed troughs are often used to cool fly ash after coal is burned. Corrosive salts and wet coal typically require stainless steel materials.
Meat Processing/Rendering
Stainless steel screw conveyors are used for all material handling. This is an ideal application because the product is contained and equipment can be easily washed down.
Sugar
Screw conveyors are used to move both wet and dry sugar products throughout the plant. Large screw presses are used to squeeze juice from sliced sugar beets.
Wastewater Treatment
Post separation from liquids, solids are often conveyed using shaftless 304SS screws which are a very good fit for sticky, gritty, wet materials. Inclined screw conveyors are also often employed to move materials to elevated areas.
